Course Details

This course can cover off a range of clinical skills that a care support worker may require in their day to day duties such as catheter, support stockings, stoma etc. Additional workplace-based competency assessments can be conducted by our Registered Nurse educator. This course can be customised to meet organisational workforce needs.

Entry requirements

Entry & eligibility requirements

There are no pre-entry study or qualification requirements, but to be eligible, you must:

  • Possess suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills (e.g. you will need to be able to read, understand and communicate care requirements on a care plan);
  • Be at least 18 years of age
Study method

Duration, learning method and assessment

This course is delivered face to face at our Training venue by our Registered Nurse educator. Follow up assessments may be conducted where necessary.

Qualification

Certification

A certificate of participation confirming the learning outcomes will be provided to each learner.
