Course Details
The aim of this course is to increase learner’s knowledge and provide ways of promoting continence and actively participate in and understand clients care. This course is suitable for aged, disability and community care workers involved in direct client care.
Topics include:
- Urinary and bowel function
- Continence management and fluid intake
- Measuring for continence aids
- Products available
- Urodomes, colostomy and ileostomy bags
- Correct fitting of aids
- Myths and facts
This course can be customised to meet organisational workforce needs.
Entry requirements
Entry requirements
There are no pre-entry study or qualification requirements, but to be eligible, you must:
- Possess suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills (e.g. you will need to be able to read, understand and communicate care requirements on a care plan);
- Be at least 18 years of age
