Questions & Answers
Q: What is changing at the Amana Living Training Institute?
A: ALTI will no longer operate as a registered training organisation (RTO), which means it will no longer deliver accredited or commercial training to students and organisations and will wind up its RTO operations by June 30.
Q. Why has this decision been made?
A: This change reflects a strategic shift in how Amana Living delivers training. In the future, our learning and development activities will be provided through the
Amana Life Academy, an in‑house training model focused exclusively on the development of Amana Living employees. This will allow us to align training more closely with our core business of delivering high‑quality aged care services.
Q. Will Amana Living still provide training services?
A: - No, Amana Living will not provide training services to individual students or businesses. We will continue to deliver high-quality training to our employees only. This ensures our workforce has the skills and capabilities required to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care to residents and clients.
Q: What happens to current students?
A: Students will be supported to complete their studies by 30 June 2026, or transition to alternative providers. Further details will be provided directly to each student by an ALTI staff member. If you prefer to transfer your enrolment without completing assessments at ALTI, you may contact the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) at training.markets@dtwd.wa.gov.au
Q: I am a student who has paid fees. What will happen with the fees I have paid?
A: Our priority is to ensure you receive the training you have paid for. If this is not possible for any reason we will work with you to either provide a refund or arrange for your training and fees to be transferred to another RTO. Any decision will be made in consultation with you.
Q. Will students who have completed courses with ALTI retain their qualifications?
A: Yes. All students who have completed training with ALTI will retain their qualifications and accreditations.
