Course Details
With the rise in diabetes and the increasing complexity of managing the disease, health professionals need to keep abreast of the latest information, advances and technology. In this course, our registered nurse educator delivers current information on the management of clients with diabetes in both residential and home care settings.
Topics include:
- Managing diabetes
- Food choices for people living with diabetes in residential care
- Monitoring blood glucose
- Managing hypo/hyperglycaemia
- Potential complications related to diabetes
This course can be customised to meet organisational workforce needs.
Entry requirements
There are no pre-entry study or qualification requirements, but to be eligible, you must:
- Possess suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills (e.g. you will need to be able to read, understand and communicate care requirements on a care plan);
- Be at least 18 years of age
Study method & duration
This course is delivered face to face at our Training venue by our experienced Trainers
Certification
A certificate of participation confirming the learning outcomes will be provided to each learner.
