Course Details

The purpose of this session is to be able to to work in partnership with clients and their carers to implement interventions in the context of an individualised plan to reduce risk and to implement strategies to minimise the risk of falls.

Topics may include

  • preparation for a risk assessment and prepare to implement falls prevention strategies
  • identifying the potential risk of falls and to contribute to the identification of risks
  • implementing falls reduction and prevention strategies

This course can be customised to meet organisational workforce needs.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements

There are no pre-entry study or qualification requirements, but to be eligible, you must:

  • Possess suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills (e.g. you will need to be able to read, understand and communicate care requirements on a care plan);
  • Be at least 18 years of age
