Personal Care Refresher

The Aged Care Refresher short course is for those who have previously completed an accredited certificate for aged care and are seeking a refresher. The course covers the following:

• Showering / Bed bathing
• Dressing and undressing
• Hair care
• Oral Hygiene
• Shaving
• Personal Grooming
• Nail care
• Toileting and continence management
• Eating and drinking techniques (Note: this is not a dysphagia session)

Delivered by trainers with a clinical background and with relevant industry experience.

Learners are required to have experience with ADLs or have undergone previous personal care training.

To be eligible, you must:

• Possess suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills (e.g. you will need to be able to read, understand and communicate care requirements on a care plan)
• Be at least 18 years of age

This course is delivered face to face at our Rivervale training venue for a duration of 3 hours by our experienced industry Trainers.
