Course details

This course is designed for people to develop an understanding of pressure injury care and management, including risk factors, classification and intervention pathways.

Learning Outcomes

· Define and understand what a pressure injury is

· Identify the different stages of pressure injury

· Describe the risk factors associated with pressure injuries

· Understand the role in the prevention and treatment of pressure injuries

· Understand the purpose of repositioning in preventing pressure injury

Entry and eligibility requirements

There are no pre-entry study or qualification requirements, but to be eligible, you must:

  • Possess suitable English language, literacy and numeracy skills (e.g. you will need to be able to read, understand and communicate care requirements on a care plan)
  • Be at least 18 years of age
Mode of delivery, duration and assessment

This course is delivered face to face at our Rivervale training venue for a duration of 2 hours by our experienced industry Trainers.
