The WA State Government has introduced the ‘Lower Fees, Local Skills’ initiative which will see aged, home and community, allied health and disability care course fees slashed.

It’s also a great time to boost existing skills thanks to the fee reductions. From 1 January 2020, students or their employers will pay half the standard course fees for a number of specially selected qualifications.

Course fees will be capped per year so that the maximum course fees you'll pay will be only $1,200 or $400 if you're eligible for a concession or student under the age of 25.

Courses available from Amana Living Training Institute (ALTI) that are eligible for the 50 percent fee reduction include:

Certificate II in Introduction to Aged Care (Pre-Traineeship)
Certificate II in Introduction to Disability Care (Pre-Traineeship)
Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community)
